The deadly downtown King County Jail must close. The King County Council *could* spend $3.5M to begin shuffling people to yet another deadly jail, the SCORE facility in Des Moines. OR they could invest in a mix of long and short term solutions addressing the crisis of mass incarceration, reducing the number of people held in the jail by #FreedomNotTransfers. Last Tuesday, the Council delayed a vote on the SCORE proposal. This Tuesday, let’s insist they choose #CareNotCages!
